LOGAN CANYON — Troopers responded to three accidents in Logan Canyon Monday, one of which involved rescuing a woman trapped in an upside-down vehicle in the river.
Monday morning, Utah Highway Patrol troopers responded to two accidents about a mile apart just south of Temple Fork Road on U.S. 89, according to UHP trooper Russell Handley. While on the scene of the second accident, Handley said a passing motorist stopped to tell them of a third accident further down Logan Canyon.
“(They) stopped and told us that a car had gone in the river upside down and a lady was trapped in it about a mile up from where we were at,” Handley said. “When we arrived on scene, we could hear a lady inside the vehicle screaming for help.”
